Sidney Crosby signs with Upper Deck

If you've been following the hockey card market at all you've probably seen the high prices for Sidney Crosby's base Upper Deck card. Up here in Canada they've crossed the $150 threshold. He's sparked a whole lot of interest in hockey cards as a whole.

Today Upper Deck officially announced they'd signed Crosby to an exclusive deal (probably not too much of a surprise considering UD is the only company making NHL cards right now).

The impact? If $200 is the going rate for an unnumbered rookie in a base product, imagine what the likely autographed SP Authentic Future Watch card serial numbered /999 is likely to fetch.
