Something Doesn't Add Up Here

Doing a little browsing this morning I found this. It's a dual cut signature card from 2008 Topps Series 2 Historical Campaigns of Dubya and Al Gore. At first glance everything looks normal enough (except maybe the ugly sources used for the autographs).

The front of the card:

The inside:

The back:
This is where I became a little suspicious. If you notice there's a small square and a triangle that both read, "Not valid without sticker." So either Topps made a bigger mistake than the Florida recount or someone's using promo materials to make a quick buck.
I've sent the seller a question and will post any response I receive if it helps shed a little light on the matter.

Update:
I checked with Topps and they confirm this card is indeed legit. They just forgot to put the holograms on.

Eek!

please... for the love of bubblegum... let this be a case of an unscrupulous seller. If topps skunked another one..... it's over. Anarchy in the streets... cats and dogs living together...
