Super Premium Prices for New Upper Deck Baseball Set

$300 for a pack of newly released baseball cards. Perhaps I'd bite if there were a voucher inside for the divorce lawyer fees I would incur if I were to buy said pack of cards. Upper Deck is testing the limits of collector's pockets with 2007 UD Premier Baseball.

Every pack of seven cards will contain at least five low-numbered “hits.” Collectors are assured of pulling at least one low-numbered autographed card, one low-numbered triple or quad memorabilia card, and low-numbered one dual or triple patch card – all numbered to 99 or less. Add to that a mix parallels and die-cut variations featuring even lower sequential numbering schemes.

Veterans in the base set are numbered to 99, while the set's 42 rookies are numbered out of 199. Premier Stitchings feature special custom-manufactured patches created specifically for each player. One Premier Stichings patch card will appear in every pack. Autographs range from single subjects all the way up to eight signatures on a card. There's also lots of the usual suspects including multi-swatch game-used jersey and patch cards.
