The card will be inserted in Ultimate Memorabilia 9th Edition Hockey, which releases in November. No word on how many copies of the tribute will be made, although the brand is known for its limited availability.
Update: It's been pointed out that this is not the politician Ted Kennedy who passed away today but the former Maple Leafs captain who died less than two weeks ago. It's probably not the best day to announce the card.

Announcing it today is a bit vulturish. I don't recall, was Ted a big Bruins fan?
I absolutely hate the mixing of politics and sports cards. Ted Kennedy, Barack Obama, George Bush or Sarah Palin don't belong in my pack of baseball or football cards.
Anonymous - I guess it's your lucky day as this one's in hockey ; )
It's a different Ted Kennedy.
That makes sense. Still, the former Maple Leaf passed away less than two weeks ago. Still seems a little fast to be putting out an autograph. And probably the worst possible day to release the image of the card.
The timing of this is crazy!
